The latest English Pug Dog book to be written is entitled 'The Complete Pug' by the late Mrs. Ellen S. Brown, ex- President of The Pug Dog Club ~ the book has already sold extremely well, especially in America, since it was first published in 1997.

Ellen died suddenly in the early hours of Sunday, 20th September 1998, after a short illness, at the age of 82 years. She commanded a great respect from many pug exhibitors and breeders alike and was a well thought of championship show judge.

The background picture is of Goodchance Camellia, who is now nearly 8 years of age and is shown occasionally with her litter sister Goodchance Little Rosa in Veteran classes.

Rebecca and Angela Naylor, Ellen's granddaughters now show Neutrino Sophronia Sphynx at Goodchance, and during 1998 she won 3 Best Puppy in Breed awards at Championship Shows ~ in July, when 'Our Dogs' published the current leaders in Pedigree Chum's TOP PUPPY COMPETITION 1998, it was a lovely surprise to find that Sophia was for a short while 'Top Puppy'.

At the Southern Counties Canine Association's Championship Show on Friday, 4th June 1999, Angela was awarded the Reserve Bitch Challenge Certificate with Sophia under Judge Mr. Terry Thorn.
